How we protect your files
We'd rather tell you exactly what's true than hide behind vague badges. Here's the real detail on encryption, file handling, and what limits exist and why.
1. In transit
Every connection to myPDFcraft — uploading a file, downloading a result, or just browsing — runs over HTTPS. Your file is encrypted between your browser and our servers the entire way.
2. While it's being processed
Once a file reaches our servers, a few concrete things happen before it's ever touched:
- The file is checked against its real type, not just its extension — an uploaded file claiming to be a PDF but actually being something else is rejected before processing starts.
- Each job runs in isolation with its own strict size and time limits, so one job can't affect another and a malformed file can't hang the service.
- Uploads are rate-limited per visitor, which keeps the service responsive and makes bulk automated abuse impractical.
3. Deletion — the part that actually matters
myPDFcraft is not a file storage service. Your original upload and the converted result are deleted automatically a short time after processing finishes, whether or not you've downloaded it. Download links themselves expire on the same short window — after that, there's nothing left to fetch, even with the correct link.
4. What we don't do
- We don't browse, index, or publicly list any stored files or download links.
- We don't use your document content for analytics, advertising, or model training.
- We don't sell or share your files with third parties.
5. Being honest about scope
myPDFcraft is a focused document-tools service, not a certified enterprise security product — we haven't claimed certifications we don't hold, and we won't. What's written on this page is what the service actually does today, and we'll update it if that ever changes.
